Made a comment on a post about speeding and traffic lights. Eventually got this in return:

“10 m/h is well within the error of any standard car speedometer. To be able to stay within 10 m/h of a speed limit would be exceptional.”

Okay bro.

EDIT- I belatedly realized he apparently took “mph” to mean meters per hour.

how can speedometers be real if our eyes aren’t real

It would be a pretty precise speedo if it was reading in meters per hour (m/h) as opposed to miles per hour (MPH).

I will say that my speedometer is off by about 4-5 at around 50 mph (GPS confirmed). It’s bad, but definitely not 10 lol.

Side note, why would a car’s speedometer be so far off on stock wheels and correct pressure. When mine says 50, I’m truly going about 54-55. And for reference it’s a 2006 Charger.

Shit, I hadn’t even thought about that. It did seem really odd to refer to MPH as “m/h”
